Who We Are
                                        Kara M. Tyler, Executive Producer, Artistic Director), is a proud Vermonter and a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts (NY) and Temple University, with her BFA in theatre and psychology. She has acted and directed with various theatre companies in NYC & PA., including Kings County Shakespeare Co, terraNova,Fulton Opera House, and The Billie Holiday Theatre. As a teaching artist, Kara has spent many years designing and implementing drama therapy based learning programs for students aged 5-18. She also teaches Shakespeare to all ages. Kara first co-produced in 1999 with Five Women Productions (5 W.P.). In 2002 Kara founded Groove MaMa Ink.
Kim Braun (Associate Producer/Stage Manager)is a graduate of Temple University where she received her BFA in Theater. Prior to moving to NYC, she stage-managed numerous productions in the Philadelphia area including  "The Shooting Gallery", "Shakin' the Mess Outta Misery," and “Seussical the Musical". She first worked with Groove MaMa Ink in 2005 for their production "Mexico" (SM). Other NYC credits include: the world premiere of Charles Mee's "Gone" (ASM) at 59 on 59; The Isle of Schoals productions of "Our Town" and "In This Fallen City" (Sound Op) at the Gene Frankel; Wild Child Presents production of "For Color Girls..." (SM) at Under St. Marks; and Rich Kiamco's award-winning solo show "Unaccessorized" (Light/Sound Op) also at St. Marks.

Gillian Chadsey (Associate Producer)is a producer of raw material, transformer, author, interpreter, and performer who settled in New York City after many years of a nomadic life that lead her from butoh dance to Tennessee Williams from Michlowice, Poland to the Pacific Conservatory of Performing Arts, through the repertory theater circuit to the California Federal Prisons. She is a company member of The South Wing (TSW) and has performed TSW’s AOI! at the Japan Society, DiVL! @ LMCC Swing Space, Hanjo Redux @ CRS, NYC & La Bellone, Brussels; and Saudade @ HERE Arts Center. Other New York citings include Mary Cheney in Inverse Theatre’s “What are you thinking Mary Cheney?” Tammy Faye Bakker in Stillpoint’s Death Might Be Your Santa Claus and in Aquila Theater's production of Agamemnon. Gillian's play, “go!’ winner of Best New play in San Francisco’s Fringe Theatre Festival was also in Collective Unconscious’s UndergroundZero Festival.
Mariah Freda (Associate Producer)is a graduate of Boston University. She received her BA in Cultural Anthropology in May 2005. During her time atBU she was a performing member with
two on campus theater groups, B.U.Stage Troupe and The Athena's Players, an all women's theater group.  She performed on various Boston stages including Boston Playwrights Theater, and the Huntington
Theater. Upon moving to NYC, Mariah continued with a career in the theater arts.  She has worked as an actor, a producer and an assistant director in productions throughout the city. She continues her growth taking classes
such as solo performance and Shakespearean study. 
Sarah Rose Grillo (Associate Producer)
is a California native, and has been acting and dancing since the age of 7. She attended university in Ashland Oregon, where she received her BFA from Southern Oregon University. She then briefly worked in Chicago theater before studying with the National Theater Conservatory in Denver. Since arriving in New York City four years ago, she has worked with such companies as Rat Theatre Company, and Love Creek Theatre Company where her work included Sequestered by Le Wilhelm, Five Women Wearing the Same Dress, and As You Like it.  Known as Rosie 151, Sarah Rose  is also heavily involved in the NYC burlesque scene. Since her first performance in August 2006 at the Slipper Room, she has shimmied her way into such venues as Kitty Nights, Starshine Burlesque, Lucky Fridays and Viva Burlesque. Sarah Rose also heads up Groove MaMa's monthly burlesque show, Rosie Red Burly-Q .
Bricken Sparacino (Associate Producer)is an actor, director, writer, yes, she does it all!
Highlights include directing Chris Harcum’s Some Kind of Pink Breakfast Fringe NYC,
performing/ co-hosting thelong running weekly comedyshow 10:17 Comedy Night, Performing her original political comedy at Eating IT, U.C.B. and The Zipper. Winning an award for directing Call MeBernice. Playing 6 characters in MEDICATION for FringeNYC which was selected by BACK STAGE as a highlight forthe theatre season. She co-wrote,performed and even sang for Weekly Review a weekly musical about the news at Caroline's. She most recently wrote 3 short plays for Groove MaMa and was a part of the 1st Wonder Women Week. She is happy to bring her show Comedy Period into partnership with GMI. Look for the monthly all women comedyvariety show to be a part of GMI's 07-08 season!
